Pret x Mind - Project Freedom
The Brief
This was a self-directed passion project.
Research suggests that up to 3.4 million people in the UK are suffering with an eating disorder - yet there are currently no eating establishments that cater for the illness.
I wanted to do something to change this.
The Idea
Work with a mainstream UK brand to create the first eating establishment designed with Eating Disorder sufferers in mind.
The Execution
After exploring multiple high-street brands as options, ‘Pret’ seemed the best fit due to its popularity & philanthropic nature.
The space would be open to all, but by partnering with charity such as ‘Mind’ we’d help reduce the hardships and anxieties of dealing with an eating disorder on the high street, by giving people control, compassion and providing a calm space to dine.
This idea was pitched to the PR manager and CEO of Pret, but unfortunately they were unable to make it happen.
